This year the Arab Horse Society was very privileged to be
able exhibit at the three day - Your Horse Live event at Stoneleigh.
We were lucky to secure the Free Breed Stand just three weeks before and thanks should go to Sarah Nundy for enquiring at just the right time. So with three weeks to organise it, never being
one to shirk a challenge I offered to co-ordinate the stand.

First mention must go to the stunning mare Rusila (Rusleem
x Sharila) who was very kindly brought along to the exhibition
by her owner Karen Carr whose husband Richard stayed at
home to look after the rest of the horses. This lovely ten- year-
old mare who has been successfully shown both in-hand and
under saddle (qualifying for HOYS this year with a win at XXX)
– really was the star of the show. She stood patiently at her
door for three whole days being admired, scratched and petted
by literally thousands of visitors. The number of children and
adults alike that she managed to convert to the Arabian
horse were uncountable. It was not lost on most of the
thousands of visitors to the event that while most of the live exhibits stood in rather dull fashion at the back of their stables, Rusila enjoyed every moment of the attention: making friends
with everyone who approached her. She won so many fans!
